Digital learning
Design and Development Project
Digital Dolche Flash Card Children's learning Tablet & Mobile App
Background.
SightandSay is an highly specialised interactive digital learning aid to be used by parents and their children together.
The brief.
This project required a UX evaluation, UI Visual design and XAML implementation. A rich and exciting project and team to be a part of with great results for a very good course.
Our Role.
User Research, User Experience Design, User Interface Mockups, XAML / C#
Platform.
Universal Windows Platform.
The process.
In the first two weeks of the project I worked on understanding the tasks the ideal customer needs to perform with the product and identified any technical limitations to the software or areas which require fundamental changes to improve the user experience.
Based on some style guidelines provided and a strong brand identity in terms of the logo, brand name and tone of voice during the follow week I put a visual design concept together in the format of a high fidelity mockup.
Once the design concept was signed off, I was tasked with implementing the front-end design in XAML. I had the full scope of new features and the existing front-end of the existing application to put together a complete design specification and estimated weekly development schedule. We worked together to test each section completed and the work took about 2 months to complete.
